I am one of those whose only debt is a mortgage, but its one I want very much to get rid of so I can consider retirement. Without debt I can live on much less. I cannot count on the stock market to provide a retirement for me – It will only work if I can save most of the salary Imake now and arrange my monthly expenses to be a little as possible.
Most of what is offered for sale is just a distraction.
