The Courage to Change

by Tommy on July 22, 2010

For all of you who have the courage to change really difficult things and for all the people struggling to do the right thing — I want you to know I love you and support you.

Take care and have a great weekend.

Respectfully,

Tommy

Change is tough, hard work. We will all need the love, support, and respect of one another. Thanks Tommy, love you too brother, and that love extends to everyone in the FG universe as well. Peace.

Nobody is secure if their neighbor is hungry. Food smothers fears. While you’re taking the weekend off, take a pie next door.

I wish there was a community of folks (like the people here at FG) in my area that I could get to know, hopefully be accepted, and spend a lot of time with – learn from – support – fellowship, etc. They say to hang out with the people that emulate your desired behavior(s).

I bet there is a group locally here; Fort Collins Colorado is pretty progressive for biking lanes, buying locally, growing, etc.

Anyone have any advice – maybe try meetup.com?

Sumo: Try the Transition network. http://www.transitionus.org/stories/state-movement-transition-colorado

Meetup is not bad, either, but could be a wide range of groups.
Also look for local community awareness groups, perhaps talk to whoever runs the nearest farmers market.

That might be a good suggestion, also: just volunteer to help the manager of the farmers market. While working, you get the chance to talk to the vendors and find out about their community involvements.

@AUNTIEGRAV:

Thanks for that link!! :D

@AUNTIEGRAVx2:

Volunteering at my local farmer’s market – now that’s an awesome idea. Thanks again.
